Lang Termes blends musical diversity

Lang Termes has been writing and playing music most of his life. He's comfortable singing many styles of music ranging from melodic folk ballads to growling blues. His song writing is one of his most notable assets. His music and lyrics come deep from his heart, or in some cases they bubble up from his whimsical sense of irony.

Termes was raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota. In high school Termes and three of his classmates formed a band and played thoughout the Nothern Hills. When the members of the band graduated they headed off to college in four different states. So, Lang started a slol career. Hi played open mics, featuring his original songs and soon was performing in three states, South Dakota, Wyoming and Oregon where he attended the University of Oregon.

When Termes returned to South Dakota he was hired by the city of Deadwood, along with tow other singers in the summer of 2002. During the summer tourist season, his troupe performed street theatre featuring his music as well as music fitting early Deadwood.

He then moved to Bozeman and began establishing himself in the music scene. He again, began with open mics that resulted in gigs around the area. Currently he performs at the MacKenzie Road House Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm and the GranTree Bar and Grill Fridays from 5 to 8 pm.

Lang Termes delivers a fascinating variety of original songs and new and interesting materials covered in his own style. He favors rhythm lyrics, a mixture of unique images and an artful blend of soul searching experiences.
