Broken Down

Well I’m a broken down but it’s a brand new dawn,

Warmin’ my feet on the fresh mowed lawn,

And it’s a some day thinkin ‘bout what I’m gonna do,

Right now I’ll clean my face with the thin wet dew.

Cause it’s a jack lantern, watermelon, corn fed sky,

Laughing as the Milky Way spills from the night,

Ladies and lovers sit alone and they cry,

And I’m here waitin’ on a satellite,

Yeah I’m here waitin’ on a satellite,

To ride.

Well Jackie Bird and Johnny Bee be sittin’ in a tree,

K I S and S and ING,

It’s a spit swap, back drop nail on the head,

Jumpin’ though the window to my girlfriend’s bed.

Cause it’s a jack lantern, watermelon, corn fed sky,

Laughin’ as the Milky Way spills from the night,

Ladies and lovers sit alone and they cry,

And I’m here waitin’ on a satellite,

Yeah I’m here waitin’ on a satellite,

To ride.

It was a waste of a weekend everybody said,

A waste of a woman when you ain’t got no bed,

But I’m lucky to be singin’, I could have been dead,

Jumped a black cat stepped back ladder  over head,

Jumped a black cat stepped back ladder  over head,

You’re dead.
